My First Bank Account

My mom has been saving my first month and CNY ang pao for a while now and today they were finally free enough to open my bank account for me. They went to look at several banks before finally decided on UOB which is giving away Humprey Gold Medallion if you were to open a Junior Saving Account with them. It took quite a while before we can qualify for the coins as the bank do not allow internal transfer from my mom account to mine and they were unclear in the explanation. Hence, we have to spend several hours trying to cash out money from my mom POSB account and finally depositing it to my UOB account. When all was done and we finally got the coins, they realised that UOB no longer distribute the Humprey Bank Account Book and everything was in a statement form. My mom was so disappointed over it. Oh well, at least we got the coins.. And my grandma will be keeping a close eye on my bank account.. Making sure it will grow fatter.. Heehee
